Terms of Service

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Hamrah platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Hamrah.

If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not access or use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective when posted, and your continued use constitutes acceptance.

These Terms apply in addition to our Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Refund Policy.

To use Hamrah, you must meet ALL of the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration
• Be a legal resident of Pakistan or authorized to use services within Pakistan
• Possess a valid CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card) — required for companion verification
• Provide truthful, accurate, and complete registration information
• Create only ONE account — multiple accounts result in permanent ban
• Maintain confidentiality of your login credentials — you are responsible for all activity on your account
• Not be currently suspended or banned from Hamrah or any predecessor platform

⚠️ We reserve the right to refuse registration, suspend, or terminate any account at our sole discretion and without prior notice or explanation.

Hamrah is a companion rental marketplace connecting clients with verified, independent companions for social, professional, and recreational purposes.

Services we facilitate:

• In-Person Companionship: Travel companionship, event attendance, shopping partners, city tours, dining companions, photo shoot partners, gym buddies, and more
• Virtual Companionship: Voice and video sessions for conversation, language practice, consultation, emotional support, and other virtual interactions

IMPORTANT: Hamrah is a marketplace and facilitator only. We are not a party to the service arrangement between clients and companions. Companions are independent contractors, NOT employees or agents of Hamrah. We do not control, supervise, or direct their services.

All Hamrah users must comply with the following rules. Violations result in immediate and permanent account termination without refund.

• Clients browse companion profiles, select services, choose date/time, add optional extras, and submit a booking request
• Companions may accept or decline any booking within 24 hours. If no response, the booking auto-expires
• Upon acceptance, the full payment is held in secure escrow
• For virtual bookings, a virtual room unlocks automatically before the session start time (admin-configurable, default: 10 minutes)
• Both parties are expected to be punctual. A grace period applies for virtual no-shows (admin-configurable)
• Sessions may be extended during the booking if both parties agree and the client has sufficient wallet balance
• Companions can extend free time to compensate for late arrival

Hamrah uses a secure escrow payment system to protect both parties:

• Booking Payment: Full amount (hourly rate × hours + add-ons + processing fee) charged at booking and held in escrow
• Platform Commission: A percentage commission is deducted from companion earnings upon successful completion. The rate is set by the platform admin and displayed in companion profiles
• Payment Release: Escrow funds are released to the companion's wallet after the client confirms completion OR after the auto-confirmation period (if client does not respond)
• Processing Fees: A processing fee applies to all transactions, displayed clearly during checkout
• Wallet System: Both clients and companions have platform wallets. Clients fund via bank transfer, card, or third-party gateways. Companions withdraw to bank/EasyPaisa/JazzCash
• Tips: Clients can send tips after session completion. Tips go 100% to the companion — no platform commission on tips
• Minimum Withdrawal: Companion withdrawals are subject to a minimum threshold and processing time

• 24+ hours before session: Full refund to wallet
• 12–24 hours before: 50% refund (cancellation fee applies)
• Less than 12 hours: No refund (unless companion cancels)
• Companion cancels: 100% refund regardless of timing
• Virtual No-Show: If a companion doesn't join within the grace period, the client can cancel for a full refund
• Dispute Refunds: Resolved case-by-case by our dispute resolution team

All refunds are processed to the client's Hamrah wallet and are typically instant. Bank/card refunds (if applicable) may take 5–7 business days.

As a companion on Hamrah, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful profile information, photos, and service descriptions at all times
• Complete identity verification (CNIC + selfie) before accepting any bookings
• Respond to booking requests within 24 hours
• Be punctual, professional, and courteous in all interactions
• Maintain accurate availability on your calendar
• Enable location sharing during in-person bookings when required by safety policy
• Not solicit clients for off-platform bookings or private arrangements
• Report any inappropriate client behavior immediately
• Comply with all applicable Pakistani laws and regulations
• Not provide services while impaired by alcohol, drugs, or other substances

As a client on Hamrah, you agree to:

• Treat companions with respect and dignity at all times
• Provide accurate booking details including date, time, location, and planned activity
• Be punctual for all scheduled sessions
• Not request services that violate our community guidelines, cultural values, or Pakistani law
• Not share companion's personal information outside the platform
• Confirm booking completion promptly after the session ends
• Leave honest, constructive, and fair reviews
• Maintain sufficient wallet balance for bookings, extensions, and tips
• Not record, photograph, or livestream companions without their explicit consent

Hamrah uses a double-blind review system designed for maximum fairness:

• Both parties can submit reviews after booking completion
• Reviews remain hidden until BOTH parties submit or the review window (14 days) expires — this prevents revenge reviews
• Reviews must be honest, relevant, constructive, and free from profanity, personal attacks, threats, or discriminatory language
• Hamrah reserves the right to remove reviews that violate these guidelines
• Incentivizing positive reviews, threatening retaliation for negative reviews, or submitting fake reviews are grounds for permanent account termination

All content on the Hamrah platform — including but not limited to website design, logos, brand name, text, graphics, icons, illustrations, software code, and user interface — is the intellectual property of Hamrah and is protected by the copyright and intellectual property laws of Pakistan.

Users retain ownership of content they upload (profile photos, reviews, messages) but grant Hamrah a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content on and in connection with the platform.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any Hamrah content or technology without our express written consent.

In the event of a dispute between a client and companion:

• Either party may file a dispute through the booking detail page within 48 hours of booking completion
• Our dispute resolution team will review all available evidence: chat history, booking details, location data, payment records, and statements from both parties
• A resolution will be provided within 5 business days
• Resolutions may include full refunds, partial refunds, account warnings, temporary suspensions, or permanent termination
• Hamrah's decision on disputes is final and binding

To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Pakistan:

• Hamrah is a marketplace platform and is not liable for the acts, omissions, conduct, or behavior of any individual user
• We do not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of services provided by companions
• We are not responsible for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the use of or inability to use the platform
• Our total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the total amount paid by that user to Hamrah in the 12 months preceding the claim

While we implement extensive safety measures (verification, monitoring, tracking, escrow), we cannot guarantee the behavior of individual users. Users interact at their own risk.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Hamrah, its founders, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use or misuse of the platform
• Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law
• Your violation of any rights of another user or third party
• Any content you upload, post, or transmit through the platform
• Your negligent or willful misconduct during or in connection with a booking

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of Hamrah shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Islamabad, Pakistan.
