Hamrah (همراہ — meaning "companion" in Urdu) is Pakistan's first trusted companion rental platform. We connect clients with verified, professional companions for travel, events, shopping, city tours, photo shoots, dining, virtual conversations, and more. All interactions are 100% platonic and professional.
Is Hamrah halal and ethical? add
Yes, absolutely. Hamrah is built on the principles of halal, ethical social interaction. All services are strictly platonic and professional. We have zero tolerance for any inappropriate behavior. Our community guidelines are aligned with Islamic values and Pakistani cultural norms. The platform has been reviewed by community advisors to ensure compliance with ethical standards.
How is Hamrah different from dating apps? add
Hamrah is NOT a dating app. We are a professional companion services marketplace. Think of it like Uber for social companionship — you book a verified person to accompany you for a specific activity. All interactions are monitored, identities are verified, payments are protected by escrow, and any romantic or inappropriate behavior results in permanent ban.
Is Hamrah available in my city? add
Hamrah is expanding across Pakistan. We currently operate in 50+ cities including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, and many more. If you don't see companions in your area, we're likely coming soon. You can also try our Virtual Hamrah service which works from anywhere in Pakistan.
What services can I book? add
You can book companions for: Travel & road trips, Wedding & event attendance, Shopping partners, City tours & sightseeing, Restaurant dining, Coffee meetups, Airport pickups, Photo shoot partners, Gym & workout buddies, Movie companions, Study partners, Professional networking events, Virtual voice/video calls, and much more. The companion sets which services they offer on their profile.
Do I need to create an account? add
Yes, account creation is required for booking companions. This ensures we can verify identities, protect payments, and maintain a safe community. Registration is free and takes less than 2 minutes.

How do I book a companion? add
It's simple: 1) Browse companion profiles using filters (city, price, availability, interests), 2) View a profile and check reviews/ratings, 3) Chat with them through in-app messaging to discuss plans, 4) Select your date, time, duration, and any add-ons, 5) Pay securely via wallet, Stripe, or Safepay, 6) Meet your companion and enjoy your activity!
Is my payment secure? add
Yes! All payments are held in secure escrow until you confirm completion of the booking. Your money is never released to the companion until you're satisfied. If there's an issue, you're protected by our refund policy and dispute resolution system.
Can I message a companion before booking? add
Yes, and we encourage it! Chatting before booking helps you discuss plans, set expectations, and ensure compatibility. All in-app messages are monitored for safety. You should never share personal contact information outside the platform.
What if I need to cancel? add
You can cancel bookings from your dashboard. Refund amounts depend on how far in advance you cancel: 24+ hours = full refund, 12-24 hours = 50% refund, less than 12 hours = no refund. If the companion cancels, you always get a full refund. See our Refund Policy for complete details.
What if I'm not satisfied with the experience? add
You can file a dispute within 48 hours of booking completion. Our team will investigate, review evidence from both parties, and provide a resolution within 5 business days. This may include full or partial refunds.
Can I extend a booking mid-session? add
Yes! If both parties agree, you can extend the session from the booking page. The extension cost (additional hours × hourly rate) is deducted from your wallet balance.
Can I tip my companion? add
Absolutely! After booking completion, you'll see an option to send a tip. Tips go 100% to the companion — Hamrah takes no commission on tips. Tips are a great way to show appreciation for exceptional service.

For Companions

How do I become a companion? add
Getting started is easy: 1) Sign up as a companion, 2) Complete your profile with photos, bio, services, and pricing, 3) Submit your CNIC for identity verification, 4) Pass our video onboarding process, 5) Once verified, you'll appear in search results and can start receiving bookings!
How do I get paid? add
Earnings from completed bookings are credited to your Hamrah wallet after the client confirms completion (or after the auto-confirmation period). From your wallet, you can withdraw to your bank account, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash. Platform commission is deducted automatically before payment.
Can I set my own rates? add
Yes! You have full control over your hourly rate, add-on services and their prices, and your availability schedule. You can update these anytime from your companion dashboard.
What if a client is inappropriate? add
Report immediately through the app or contact [email protected]. We have zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior. The client will be investigated and permanently banned if found in violation. You can also use the SOS emergency button during active bookings.
Can I decline bookings? add
Yes, you can decline any booking request. However, we encourage responding to all requests within 24 hours (accept or decline). A high acceptance rate improves your visibility in search results.
What is the platform commission? add
Hamrah charges a platform commission on each completed booking. The exact percentage is set by the admin and displayed on your dashboard. Tips from clients are NOT subject to commission — you keep 100%.
How do Featured Listings work? add
Featured companions appear at the top of search results and get a special "Featured" badge. You can apply for Featured status from your dashboard. This is a premium service with a monthly fee that significantly increases your booking rate.

What payment methods are accepted? add
Clients can pay via: Hamrah Wallet (fund via bank transfer), Credit/Debit Card (via Stripe), Safepay, and other supported gateways. All payments are processed securely through PCI-compliant payment processors.
How does the wallet work? add
Both clients and companions have a Hamrah wallet. Clients add funds to book services. Companions receive earnings in their wallet. You can withdraw wallet funds to your bank account, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash anytime.
Are there any hidden fees? add
No hidden fees! All costs are displayed clearly during checkout: hourly rate, add-on costs, and processing fee. What you see is exactly what you pay.
How fast are refunds? add
Wallet refunds are instant. Bank transfer refunds take 5-7 business days. Credit/debit card refunds take 5-10 business days depending on your bank.
What is the minimum withdrawal amount? add
The minimum withdrawal amount varies and is displayed on your wallet page. This helps us minimize processing costs while giving companions fast access to their earnings.

Safety & Trust

How does Hamrah verify companions? add
Every companion undergoes: CNIC verification (front + back), Live selfie verification for facial matching, Video onboarding interview, Profile review by our team. Only after passing all steps can they accept bookings.
Is my personal information safe? add
Yes. We use SSL/TLS encryption, store sensitive data (CNIC, passwords) with industry-standard encryption, implement role-based access controls, and never share your CNIC information with other users. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What if I feel unsafe during a booking? add
Use the SOS emergency button in the app — it immediately alerts our safety team with your location. For immediate danger, call Pakistan emergency services (1122) first, then contact us at [email protected].
Are chats monitored? add
Yes. All in-app messages are monitored by AI for inappropriate content, personal info sharing, and safety concerns. This is for your protection and is a mandatory condition of using the platform. We don't use chat data for advertising.
What happens if someone behaves inappropriately? add
Report them immediately. We have zero tolerance for harassment, inappropriate behavior, or policy violations. Offenders face immediate investigation and permanent ban. Your report is confidential.

Virtual Hamrah

What is Virtual Hamrah? add
Virtual Hamrah lets you book voice and video sessions with companions from anywhere. It works like a Zoom/Google Meet room — both parties join a private virtual room at the scheduled time. Perfect for conversation, language practice, professional consultation, or just having someone to talk to.
How do virtual sessions work? add
Book a virtual session with a companion who offers virtual services. A virtual room unlocks 10 minutes before the scheduled start time. Both you and the companion join the room. The session timer runs automatically and you can extend if needed.
What if the companion is late to a virtual session? add
After the grace period (admin-configured, default: 10 minutes), you'll see a "Cancel for Full Refund" button. You can either cancel for a full refund or continue waiting. If the companion joins late, they can extend the session for free to compensate.
Can I extend a virtual session? add
Yes! Both you and the companion can extend the session during or near the end of the call. Extension costs are deducted from your wallet. There's also a 5-minute grace period at the end where you can choose to extend before the room closes.
What equipment do I need? add
Just a device with a modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, or Safari), a microphone (for voice calls), and a camera (for video calls). No special software or downloads needed — everything runs in your browser.
